The above Coal Block is allocated jointly to M/s API Powertech Pvt Ltd and M/s Chhattisgarh Sponge Manufacturers Consortium Pvt Ltd, a duly incorporated joint venture company to source captive coal to the Joint venture partner's captive requirements.

At the outset BAPL is holding 10.27% of the allocated reserve of 78.463 Million tons which is about 0.24 million tons per annum which meets its existing requirement of 0.30 MTPA and 0.120 MTPA for its proposed expansions. 

The promoters of M/s Chhattisgarh Sponge Manufacturers Consortium Pvt Ltd have very clear and strong vision to operate the coal mine, where everything is predefined such as coal to be used for existing / proposed capacity of plants
