BAPL has been signed MOU with the Government of Chhattisgarh and is intended to set up the integrated steel, power and cement plant in Phase I and Phase II. The proposed production capacity for these units as follows:
The integrated steel plant will comprise of sponge iron unit, induction furnace, beneficiation and pellatization plant, blast furnace and rolling mill. The productions from the different units of the integrated steel plants have been phased out in Phase I & Phase II.

Step taken to-date for implementation of proposed project:
- We have already applied for Environment clearance with Ministry of Environment & Forest, New Delhi and necessary TOR issued by the Ministry. We are preparing IA/EMP Report for the proposed project.
- In the meantime, we have already received Consent to establish final permission From Pollution department related to Arc Furnace & Pelletizing Plant (will be commissioned by March, 2011) and the Arc Furnace is commissioned & Ground work for Pelletizing Plant is already started.
- For occupation of Land at Jagdalpur & Tilda, we have already applied to CSIDC through SIPB. Already acquired at Jagdalpur 49 + 15 = 64 Acres and rest of land acquire work under process.
- 8 MW Power at Raipur will be commissioned by next year, as per SBI Schedule.
- Water - We have already applied for Water with Water Resources Deptt. for supply of Water from Kanger River and the department has sanctioned the same and we deposited the amount of commitment charges.
- Coal - Already applied for Coal Linkage with Ministry of Coal, New Delhi for Raipur & Jagdalpur apart from coal block allotted.
