At BAPL, we strongly believe in deriving 'Synergy in Energy'. Energy, in essence has been the foundation of our success. BAPL prides itself in being one of the select companies which is 100% self-sufficient in its energy requirements. Currently, we are Commissioning 8 MW power plant at our Siltara plant. The energy generated is captively used in our sponge iron and billet plants.

Company has planned for future expansion of an Integrated Steel Plant. In this diversified planning, BAPL wish to expand its power generation capacity from its present capacity of 8 MW to additional 75 MW power plant in the district of Bastar, Chhattisgarh State. BAPL has already been allotted a coal mine in consortium with other sponge Iron plants at Korba in the Chhattisgarh State. The Coal available from this mine will be utilized in the steel plant as well as proposed power generation capacity. Part of the Power Generated from Power Plant will be used in their expansion project and balance will be transmitted via Inter State Transmission through Power Trading Agencies.
